Questions
Check the linked State Department requirements before submitting your photo.
Why is it so cheap?
No photographer, no store and no server processing your photo. The check runs on your phone, so it costs us almost nothing.
Can I take it myself?
Yes. Holding the phone at arm's length can distort your face, so prop it at eye level about 1.2 m away and use the timer. Or ask someone to take it.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The checks run in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device, and we never see it.
What if it gets rejected?
We check it against the published rules for your document, but the final call is the passport office's.
Can't I just use an AI photo app?
AI photo apps redraw your face and background. The State Department asks for an original photo without filters or digital changes. We measure your real photo and crop it. Nothing is generated or edited.
Why don't you fix the background for me?
Because it would get your application held up. The State Department asks for the original, unchanged photo and says not to change it with software, apps, filters or AI. We only crop and resize, the same as the State Department's own photo tool. Take it against a plain white wall and you won't need any edits.
How do I print it?
Download the 4x6 sheet and send it to any pharmacy photo kiosk. Choose actual size or 100%, not fit to page. Measure the 1 inch ruler on the print, then cut along the marks.
Can I use it for an online renewal or the DS-160?
The digital download is a 600 x 600 JPEG for visa applications. For online passport renewal, upload your original photo and use the cropping tool inside the State Department application. Always review the official requirements for your application.
Does it work for babies?
Yes. Pick Baby passport at the top. Lay your baby on a plain white sheet and take the photo from directly above, with no hands, toys or pacifiers in the shot. It's fine if a newborn's eyes aren't fully open.
